When there appears to be discoloration is certain areas in the flooring, this could be the sign of a larger problem arising in the future. What makes this type of repair difficult sometimes is trying to find matching planks. Sometimes they can be replaced with other planks from an inconspicuous area like a closet or other area not used often or noticeable. If this is not possible, then new planks must be reinstalled and refinished to match.
